Boss and coworkers asked why I was so excited and happy with tears in my eyes when I came back to work. So I cried even more as I told them that I went to the Dean to get a retrograde transcript change. Gave the Dean about 60+ medical documents for my MS. Dozens of blood tests, two MRI brain scans, CT scan, spinal tap test with hella anesthesia, prescriptions, etc. He then said he would authorize my transcript change, so OF COURSE I was ecstatic. But as I moved towards the door, he said "Have a nice day. I know you will be okay. And by the way, CONGRATULATIONS, Zarrin! YOU HAVE NOW JUST GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY!" Those words sent me into a spiraling realization that I was indeed finally done. Completed all required classes and my optional neuroscience concentration. FAMBAM, I'M A CAL ALUMNI NOW!
